At 10:00 a.m. local time on November 11, 2020, after more than a year of relentless effort and in spite of the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, construction of the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project officially commenced. As one of the 52 key projects under the China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation framework, the successful groundbreaking marked a major milestone for the project.
Serik Turdaliyev, Deputy Governor of Almaty Region, and Nazar Terlyga, Deputy General Manager of Jiaxin International Resources Investment Limited, jointly cut the ribbon to mark the start of construction. The early-stage works of the Kazakhstan Boguty Tungsten Mine Project are undertaken by the Kazakhstan branch of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation. The construction and engineering teams have committed to the highest standards and strict requirements, pledging meticulous organization and scientific management to ensure safety, environmental protection, and quality across all aspects of the project. They aim to complete the work on schedule and to build a world-class international project.
