To support Kazakhstan in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, under the organization and coordination of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA) and with the strong assistance of the China Chamber of International Commerce Representative Office in Kazakhstan, Jiaxin International Resources Investment Limited joined hands with Jiangxi Copper Corporation Limited, Zhetisu Volframy LLP (Kazakhstan) and other companies to donate 228,800 medical masks. The supplies were officially handed over to the Red Crescent Society of Kazakhstan on April 12, 2020, to aid the country's anti-pandemic efforts. The total value of the donated materials was over 700,000 yuan.
After the outbreak of the pandemic, Kazakhstan successively closed highway ports, suspended flights, and implemented “lockdown” measures in its two major cities, Nur-Sultan and Almaty, which posed significant challenges to the transportation and delivery of supplies. During the organization and donation process, all parties worked closely together and received strong support from the General Administration of Customs of China, the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Khorgos Port Customs, as well as the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Kazakh Invest National Company. This donation fully demonstrated the moral responsibility and commitment of Chinese enterprises and deepened the friendly ties between the people of China and Kazakhstan.
