On the morning of March 29, Chairman Liu Liqiang of Jiaxin International, accompanied by President He Zhenwei of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), visited the Astana headquarters of Kazakh Invest National Company (hereafter referred to as "Kazakh Invest"). During the visit, Chairman Liu held a meeting with Yerzhan Yelekeyev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Invest. The two sides engaged in extensive exchange on strengthening bilateral cooperation, including inviting Kazakh Invest to participate in the 14th China Overseas Investment Fair hosted by CODA, and on further consolidating and expanding the outcomes of China-Kazakhstan investment collaboration.
At the meeting, President He Zhenwei provided an update on the latest progress and future development plans of the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project, a key initiative under China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation. The project is scheduled to officially begin production in the second half of the year. He expressed hope that Kazakh Invest would offer continued support and assistance for the project’s commissioning and future operations.

Yelekeyev warmly welcomed the delegation to Kazakh Invest and noted that, after more than 40 years of reform and opening up, China has become a model of national success - one from which Kazakhstan seeks to learn and draw inspiration. He expressed Kazakhstan’s strong interest in attracting more Chinese investment, as well as advanced technologies and management expertise. Kazakh Invest will carefully plan and organize the participation of relevant Kazakh enterprises, making full use of the China Overseas Investment Fair as a platform for cooperation.

Yelekeyev pointed out that China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation began in 2014. After ten years of joint efforts, the cooperation has yielded substantial outcomes, with Jiaxin International's Boguty Tungsten Mine Project standing out as a highly representative example. Kazakh Invest fully understands that, in addition to investing in and developing the project, China will bring advanced technologies that fill industry gaps in Kazakhstan, as well as forward-thinking environmental concepts. These efforts will fulfill social responsibilities, improve livelihoods, and cultivate skilled talent to promote employment. China’s approach of rooting itself in the Kazakh market and seeking long-term development is highly appreciated and welcomed by Kazakhstan. Kazakh Invest will continue to support the project’s production and operation, setting a model for China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Liu Liqiang, Chairman of Jiaxin International; Wang Zhongwei, General Manager of Zhetisu Volframy; Wang Kewen, Deputy Secretary-General of CODA; and Bauyrzhan Aitkulov, Director of the Project Department at Kazakh Invest.
