On the morning of March 29, Chairman Zhenwei of China Maritime Association and Liu Liqiang, Chairman of Jiaxin International, visited the headquarters of Kazakhstan State Investment Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Kazakhstan State Investment Corporation) in Astana, and held talks with its President Yerjan Yelekeyev, and conducted extensive exchanges and communication on strengthening cooperation between the two sides, inviting Kazakhstan Guotou to participate in the 14th China Overseas Investment Cooperation Fair of China Strait Association, and continuously consolidating and expanding the achievements of China-Kazakhstan investment cooperation.
At the meeting, President He Zhenwei introduced the latest progress and future development plan of the construction of the Bakuta tungsten mine project, which is a key project of China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation, and the project is planned to officially start production in the second half of the year.
Yerekiev warmly welcomed He Zhenwei to lead a delegation to visit Kazakhstan Guotou again, and sincerely thanked the China Association for inviting Kazakhstan Guotou to participate in the foreign trade fair. Yerekiev said that after more than 40 years of reform and opening up, China has become a model of a successful country and a model for Kazakhstan to learn from. Kazakhstan earnestly hopes to bring in more capital, advanced technology and management experience from China, and participating in the foreign trade fair is the only choice for effectively expanding investment cooperation between the two sides. Kazakhstan International Investment Corporation will carefully plan, organize Kazakhstan-related enterprises to actively participate in the meeting, and make good use of the platform of the foreign trade fair.
Yerekiev pointed out that the China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation began in 2014, and after 10 years of joint efforts by both sides, it has now borne fruitful fruits, and the Bakuta tungsten mine project is one of the very representative projects. Kazakhstan SDIC is well aware that China will not only invest in the development of the project, but also bring advanced technology and advanced environmental protection concepts to fill the gap in the industry for Kazakhstan, fulfill its social responsibilities and benefit people's livelihood, cultivate skilled talents and promote employment, and its approach of taking root in the Kazakhstan market and seeking long-term development has been deeply appreciated and welcomed by Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan SDIC will, as always, support the project to put into operation and set an example for China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation.
Wang Kewen, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association for Maritime Affairs, Baoerjiang Aitkulov, Director of the Project Department of Kazakhstan State Investment Corporation, Liu Liqiang, Chairman of Jiaxin International, and Wang Zhongwei, General Manager of Jetsu Tungsten Company, attended the talks.
