On the afternoon of August 17, 2023, a delegation from Jiaxin International's Boguty Tungsten Mine Project, led by He Zhenwei, President of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), visited the Almaty government and held talks with Sultangaziyev Marat Yeleusizovich, Governor of Almaty Region.
As the major shareholder of the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project, Zhou Shaobing, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Jiangxi Copper Company Limited, said that the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project is the first investment and construction project of Jiangxi Copper in Kazakhstan and even across Central Asia, and the company's leaders attach great importance to it. He also took the opportunity to express his sincere gratitude to the Governor of Almaty and all levels of the regional government for their strong support.
Sultangaziyev expressed gratitude to the CODA for organizing the visit of the high-level delegation from Jiaxin International's Boguty Tungsten Mine Project. He emphasized that this project is not only a major initiative for the Almaty Region but also a significant project for Kazakhstan. “Our economic development relies on the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project,” Sultangaziyev stated, “which is why both the Almaty Regional Government and the Enbek-Kazakh District Administration have consistently prioritized its smooth progress.” He also extended appreciation for the company's commitment to social welfare, particularly its donations of agricultural machinery and equipment to local communities, as well as its poverty alleviation and educational support initiatives.
Liu Liqiang, Chairman of Jiaxin International, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Phase II investment cooperation for the deep processing of products from the Boguty Tungsten Mine Project.
