On the afternoon of August 17, 2023, a delegation from the Jixin International Bakuta Tungsten Mine project, led by He Zhenwei, President of the China-Central Asia Cooperation Association, visited the Almaty Oblast government and held talks with Marat Yeleusizovich Sultan-Gazyyev, Governor of Almaty Oblast.
Zhou Shaobing, Vice Chairman and General Manager of Jiangxi Copper Co., Ltd., a major shareholder of the Bakuta Tungsten Mine project, mentioned that the Bakuta Tungsten Mine project is Jiangxi Copper's first investment and construction project in Kazakhstan and even in Central Asia, and the company's leadership attaches great importance to it. He took this opportunity to express gratitude for the strong support from Governor of Almaty Oblast and government departments at all levels!

Sultan-Gazyyev expressed gratitude for the China-Central Asia Cooperation Association's organization of a high-level delegation from the Jixin International Bakuta Tungsten Mine project. He pointed out that this project is one of the major projects in Almaty Oblast and Kazakhstan. Our economic development needs the Bakuta Tungsten Mine project, therefore the Almaty Oblast government and the Iili District government have always attached great importance to the smooth progress of the project. At the same time, Sultan-Gazyyev also expressed his gratitude for our enthusiastic participation in social welfare undertakings, including the donation of agricultural machinery and equipment to local communities, and donations for poverty alleviation and education.

Liu Liqiang, Chairman of Jixin International, signed a memorandum of understanding on the Phase II investment cooperation for the deep processing of Bakuta tungsten mine products.
