In order to support Kazakhstan's fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, with the organization and coordination of the China Overseas Development Association and the strong assistance of the China Chamber of International Commerce Representative Office in Kazakhstan, 228,800 medical masks jointly donated by Jiangxi Copper Group Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Jiaxin International Resources Investment Co., Ltd., Kazakhstan Jetsu Tungsten Co., Ltd. and other enterprises were officially handed over to the Kazakhstan Red Crescent Society on April 12, 2020 to support Kazakhstan's anti-epidemic needs. The total value of these materials is about 70 yuan.
Since Kazakhstan has successively closed highway crossings, suspended flight operations, and implemented "lockdown" measures in the two major cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty, it has caused great difficulties in the transportation and delivery of materials. In the process of organizing the donation, all parties cooperated and supported each other, and received strong support from the General Administration of Customs of China, the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Khorgos Port Customs, as well as the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan, and the Kazakh State Investment Company. This donation fully demonstrates the morality and responsibility of Chinese enterprises, deepens the friendship between the Chinese and Kazakh people, and plays a positive role in promoting the deepening of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and the construction of key projects.
